We are very proud to offer our newest Photo event to be held again in the beautiful Port of Echuca in 2025
Starting with a pick-up in Melbourne (Eltham and Wallan) we travel in a luxury coach to Echuca.
Then we have plenty of time in the port to take images of the historic buildings and structures, as well as take the time for some lunch. (Echuca has a fabulous choice of lunch venues, or take your own if you prefer)
Then we experience the spirit of the Murray River by taking an amazing two-hour voyage on the Paddle Steamer Pevensey.
The Pevensey is a historic Paddle Steamer built in 1911 and still running with its original steam engine.
The paddle boat has been exclusively booked for students and teachers of Alwyns Photo School so plenty of room and time to enjoy the voyage, take lots of photos, sit back and drink coffee as the world goes by!
Then back to the coach before one final stop on the way back to Melbourne.
We visit Rochester to see and photograph its amazing Painted Silos (Part of the Victorian Silo trail).
When do we meet and how will we get there?
We start at our pick-up point at Eltham Station at 8.30 am
Then we have one more pick-up at Wallan at approximately 9.30 am then after a brief stop for coffee in Kilmore we travel non-stop to Echuca.
What is the cost and what is included?
The price for the workshop is $329 which includes all transport both on road and water! The cost does not include lunch I'm afraid.
What do I bring, and what level of skill do I need?
Your Camera (Obviously!) and batteries and cards for lots of great photos.
If you prefer to bring your own lunch please do, although Echuca does have a fabulous choice of cafes and restaurants.
How many people are in the class, and how many teachers?
We have hired a coach for this trip with a professional driver. We are taking a maximum group of twenty people with my team of four teachers and assistants, so each student receives maximum attention.
