Flower photography is an art not easy to master. The camera does not “see” the flower the way you do. Often colours are muted, and the vibrance of a garden is missing. Join us on a journey through Fitzroy and Treasury gardens in Melbourne City as we show how by using the correct settings, angles and lenses, we can create unforgettable images of flowers, gardens, and waterfalls (yes, Melbourne does have a waterfall!)
The class covers lens use, using colour, taking pictures in Black & White, photographing water features, using reflectors and diffusers, the best camera settings, and more. I will bring Filters, tripods, and advice.
You need to bring yourself, your camera and lots of blank cards.
What do I bring, and What level of skill do I need?
Your Camera (Obviously!), batteries, and cards for lots of great photos. Wide angle and medium zooms are perfect for this class (and lighter to carry!) We cater to all skill levels, from novices to master photographers and ages 9 to 99. Just bring your camera and your enthusiasm
How many people are in the class, and how many teachers?
Unlike many Melbourne Camera Schools, we prefer small groups. So we take a small group of six students and two teachers. So each student receives maximum attention.
Rain Policy
If extreme rain is forecast, we will advise 48 hours before the class and offer alternative dates or a refund of the class cost.
